BIO – ENGLISH

Daniel Sok was born in Duisburg in 1971.

At the tender age of five, Daniel was fascinated by the piano.

He was so talented, that his parents decided to send him to piano lessons, the first of which he had at the age of six. In playing the piano he discovered his passion and great talent for music. Daniel then went on to take part and consequently win a number of recognised music competitions such as the Yamaha Musikwebewerb.

After completing his high school and parallel to his business apprenticeship, Daniel took on studying music and music production at the Music University Enschede, completing with top marks achieving the title Bachelor of Music. During his studies, he continued creating  successful music concepts for the Yamaha Music Academy.
Since 1995 he is an academic lecturer at various Music Academies, pertaining to music specialising in keyboards, piano and music production.
He is also frequently called upon to give seminars and workshops as well as performing at the Music Fair in Frankfurt.

In the year 2000, Daniel finally grounded his own music production company, DS Productions, where he has been focusing on music production, jingles, and music for films. Although Daniel completed his studies in music, he continued ambitiously to study business management, specialising in marketing and management at the European Business School.
During his second studying phase, Daniel still continued to compose music in Trance and House for various companies among others including Label, Alphabet City, Warner Music and Dream Dance RTL, where his music and compositions can be heard. He received then several requests for regional radio stations and audio signature productions.

Chris Thompson , Manfred Mann´s Earth Band, Kim Wilde, Johnny Logan, Marianne Rosenberg, Bernhard Brink, Ireen Sheer, Jean Shy, Wencke Myhre, Gitte Haenning, Men in Black, Irvin Doomes, ABBA Revival Band, Bernd Strohm, Malcolm Molly Duncan, Average White Band, Cindy aus Marzahn, Pamela Falcon, Mickie Krause, Luxuslärm, Antonia, DSDS, ZDF, WDR, RTL.

The year 2011 marked a new era and Daniel got the opportunity to work with tv ZDF, writing and producing music for the successful ZDF – Heute Show with Oliver Welke, Prime Productions.
The new website will be online effective 2016. He is currently working on his new album which should be released 2017. Daniel Sok has many exciting plans in 2017 and hopes to push his passion for music to the limit.
